Coming from Eucalyptus, Tencel is made from a sustainable source. When compared to Bamboo (similar fiber), Tencel is a better environmental choice. Tencel's production process prevents the solvent used from spilling into the environment. The solvent used is "NMMO" which is not harmful or dangerous for the environment, unlike bamboo manufacturers who use sodium hydroxide, a corrosive and toxic product for the environment. In addition, 99% of the water used in the production of Tencel is recycled!
Garments made from Tencel are soft to the touch, smooth and breathable. Tencel is durable and very absorbent. It is suitable for sensitive skin which irritates easily.
